Soooo Beautiful!! How can such an alluring plant be so poisonous?!? It just lures you into it's web with those beautiful curling tendrils at the blossom edge....ahhhhhhh :o I had some purple tripple datura last year. Unfortunately, I got too busy and forgot to get out there and save seeds. :-? LUCKY...

Yes....I do sometimes cook with this garlic. I've used the curly stems cut up in different soups....and even those little bulbils formed at the end are quite tasty......small, but tasty! Mike....you make this germination process so interesting! I have a few iris out there forming huge pods...I'll really keep an eye on 'em now!

This will be a great experiment with the kids next school year.....they'll ESPECIALLY like the toilet part! Thanks for the info.......Pam :lol:

I have garlic in a back-yard garden. O.K.....I admit it....I don't really USE it very often, I just keep it out there because I love how those tops curl 'round in gentle circles until those little bulblits form at the tips! Beautiful pics! Ours bore several seeds last year...I found a few tiny seedlings late this spring!

I asked the fella I work with about their survival...he said they would probably not be sturdy enough to make it. So far, 2 are about 8" high. .............p :wink:
