Re: What's new for Fall?

Ed, couldn't sleep, so started looking at your flickr.com pictures. How do you like your fern leaf peony? I have never seen them before and am intriqued!

Helen, I sent you Firebreathing Dragon several years back, did he not make it? :( He did not double well for me, so if that is was the problem for you, you may not think it was really firebreathing I sent you. But I bought him from a reputable dealer. You will have to let me know if this new one you...

Helen, tons of work, but a fantastic way to display your Dragon Collection. I love it. Fits in well with your neighborhood too. I know living in the suburbs you kind of have to keep things looking good. Thats why all my gardens are in the back. :D

Very cool Ed.

I've heard of this before, but just like Chris said, they all said it didn't last. I've never had one, so just enjoy it while it lasts and if it does last, well, I think you just may make some money. :D

Hey Midnight,

I'm so glad you asked this question. I bought 3 of them a couple years ago. Planted them in full sun, but in a very moist area. Now I'm down to only one. I think I will move it to a dryer area.

Great Job Ed!

Next year I will have to do an auction, it is so much more fun than just an offer of seeds for donation. :D
I was watching it all closely.

Hi John, Thanks for posting the site. I had someone just ask me where you could find a site exactly like this one. I'll have to let her know. I'm not sure I have time to join another group. Yikes! I live in suburbia with limited space, so I'm just a dabber and do the 'pretty on pretty' method. :wink...

Ed and Dori, All 4 of those seedlings are great! It's such fun to find a keeper. Kind of hard to toss the 'not so great' ones though. A friend has convinced me that I need to get more purple/blue into my garden, so hopefully I will be getting 2 named 'blue' daylilies this spring. I'm also buying som...
