I've had one for several years and I don't think it's any bigger than when we got it.

I love the pictures of it in a pot. Perhaps I'll dig mine up and give that a try.

Wow, I love the celestial sport. Geez, I love sports in general...i don't seem to be too successful with them once they are split off. I think I love them too much. The 2 I've seperated have gotten crown rot and died. :bawl: sniff. Are you better off putting it in the ground or a pot?

thanks everyone for the kind words. :D Hank, It's been in since fall 2001 or 2002, I don't remember which. It was in the first bed I put in. I does get mostly shade so there's no burning at all. Renaldo, I'll post some other garden pics as time permits. I'm probably as hooked on taking garden pics a...

color glory

It seems that there are alot of people that have trouble with Color Glory. I thought I'd share a picture of mine with you. Sorry I don't mean to brag, but it seems very happy. I do nothing to it expect for occasional watering when it gets really dry. Also pictured are night before christmas, Pizzazz...

renaldo, I bought it last year because it already had a single eye that was streaking. It's still only a single. One thing I have noticed is that the leaf edges do drawstring a bit. I haven't looked at it lately though. I guess I'll need to check it out and make sure it's not too dry. I haven't sepe...

W've got you beat twoblackdogs...it's been a month since we've had rain. Fortunately it hasn't been horribly hot, so things aren't too dried out yet. The air is very dry though so I'm sure the hosta need more water than usual.

I've used it, but it didn't seem to affect the deer. :-? Do you have to use it alot, i.e. repeated, frequent applications? That might harm the plants if used too often.

I also have a SM that looks just like that. I thought it was a sport too. Oh well, I really do liike it though. I do have a SM that I believe is unique. The margins are quite wide with just a narrow marking in the center. Some of the leaves don't have any markings at all. I'll have to post a pic of ...

Molly, the temperature in the garage varies, depending on where you are. Right next to the door it freezes but closer to the house it's probably in the high 30's. The biggest problem I see with leaving them outdoors is the late freeze. I've had some coming out of dormancy and a late freeze killed th...

Hank, I'll do my best to remember to take a picture then and post it. From what I recall from last year it looked pretty good then. I'm curious now so I'll be sure to keep an eye out. Molly, I put the pots in the garage. I don't water them until the spring when they start to wake...which is usually ...

Hank, I think mine was attacked by ground insects and getting it off the ground insulated it a bit. I guess I forgot that I also moved it once potted to another location so it might be that the insect weren't as bad. Here's a pic of Sea Thunder. I bought it in '05 and it seems to have done well. THe...

I'll have to post a pic of my Sea Thunder. It's doing very well and I virtually ignore it. I don't know why the difference. :-? Hank, your's looks like the bugs love it! It must be very tasty. I had the same problem with Cherry Berry and decided to move it into a pot. It's thriving there. I suggest ...

Looks like a great start...and view!

Question: Are those trees Silver Maples? Have you had much in the way of a root problem. I understand they are notorious for stealing water from the hosta. Hopefully you've got that one solved.
