Re: Color glory
I have Color Glory and it looks nothing like Paul's Glory and it's huge. I will take a picture 4 you and post it. I too have some blue reversions/sports. I took one off last year and it looks like I need to do that again. It's not as striking as PG but it is beautiful...but then aren't they all.

Re: Hanky Panky?
Thanks for the responses. I have looked at the library and database. I even looked at the pictures and HP was the only thing that came close. I will plant it and see how it does. It's much larger than any HP I've seen in the nurseries, so maybe I've got somethings here. Either way, it's lovel...

Hanky Panky?
I found this plant in a group of Striptease and was marked Striptease. After looking at the library I think it's Hanky Panky but the photos on the library vary so much I'm not sure. What do you think?

Re: Tissue Culture
Thanks Chris, I've had it for about 5-6 years, but I don't think it liked it's spot very much because it's been really slow to grow. Last year I potted it and has doubled in size :D . It's in the garage right now because of the frost but it's looking really good. I don't know about it setting seeds ...

Tissue Culture
I have a hosta that last year some folks said should be tissue cultured. If anyone knows how I could go about it, let me know.
Thanks, poppi

I have too large an area to cover so it's trouble in river city! I wish I would have covered a Japanese Maple...I hope I don't lose it. Dang, why did March have to be so nice?!?!

Were you able to go to the museum annex? They have an SR-71 there. That's my favorite.

Re: Hosta college
Redcrx and Chris, I would have loved to have met you guys there.
Redcrx, was it on Friday night you saw someone? I had it set aside then and brought my checkbook on Saturday to pay for it...maybe it was me
Next year we should arrange a time/place to meet there.

After eyeing it for many years, I decided to splurge and bought Gunthers Prize. I hope it matures beautifully. Anyone know if it's finicky?

Re: First Hosta Eye Up!!
I have eyes, in the ground, coming up in zone 5...yikes! My redbud are popping. The weather is like it should be in May/June. I love it, but I'm really hoping we don't get one of those late freezes... I'm on a tour this year and would hate to see that happen.

Maybe I should go out and bark! Although they would just stand there and look at me.

Dog Decoys for deer control
Has anyone tried these for deer control? If so, do they really work? I've tried so many things that I've become sceptical of deer control products.

Re: repellex
Thanks everyone. i think I'll place some tablets near some trees that are getting eaten then at the beginning of the growing, put some by the plants in the more vulnerable areas. I'll let you know how it works for me. I wish it wasn't so expensive but it could help alot.

fungus
I have noticed several hosta with dying leaves and on closer inspection I found what looks to be a fungus...little specks near the base...kinda yellow or red. My Venusta lost most of it's leaves  so I sprayed it with a weak bleach/water mixture and it's putting out new growth. It seems to be do...

Yes, I think you're right about position in the garden...and I'm sure soil has something to do with it as well.
