Re: Hummingbird Ruby Throat

I have the hummingbirds coming to my black and blue salvia too, I try to get a new plant each year just for the hummers, they love it the best in my yard, they were here two days ago, but I did not see them today. Our weather turned cold at night the last two nights.

My Hostas are doing great for this time of year. They love the rain. I am so excited.

Re: Your favorite type of plants or characteristics?

We got almost an inch of rain on Monday evening and my Hostas are looking very good today. The Lakeside San Kao is so beautiful along with Summer Joy, Niagra Falls and Bobbie Sue. Potomac Pride is looking better and better each year. My Raspberry Sorbet never gets a chance to grow, with deer or bunn...

Bobbie Sue

P S My Hostas are not all up yet, we are having a late spring with no rain. But I can tell you that Bobbie Sue has got to be one of the best, it comes up year after year looking the same and puts on such a display, I have three of them and they all are keeping up with each other.

Hi Lucy Goose
Here is a picture taken at a friends house, same age as mine but theirs grew much faster than mine, this one is about 10 feet tall and mine is about 6 or 7 feet. I will take a picture of mine tomorrow.

I sure agree with Chris. I have had my Sagae a long time and it is so slow growing, I have seen it mature on a garden tour and he had a mass planting of them, but he bought them about 20 years ago, seen another one that was like a shrub and she said she moved it but never divided it, it was the most...

We had a record low of 27 here early this morning, We run the sprinklers all night, on one garden and covered some of the rest, the sprinklers made ice crystals and we had winter wonderland in the garden, it was pretty, and it looks like no damage.

I was told by other gardeners that they use Borateem on the creeping charlie to kill it in the spring or fall, well we tried it and it plugged up our sprayer, so I mixed it real good in a bucket and applied it directly to lawn that had the most creeping charlie, it did work, but maybe this spring I ...

We have a problem with them, but never see them in our yard only the destruction they cause. they love the fragrant Hostas and will eat them to ground, rest of them they just eat the blooms, but the new ones that I purchase, they just devour them like candy. We use Liquid fence and it seems to work ...

Thanks so much for the recipe, I made it and took it to my grandsons baptism party, my friend warned me that you should not take something you have never made before to a party. I ignored her warning and it was a big hit, thanks to all your ravings I knew it would be. Everyone loved it.
Thanks

Oh, I think that is so beautiful. Very Creative, never seen one like it. my friend gets her bowling balls from trash pick up day instead of garage sales, and she glues glass colored marbles, but this is really different. Where do you get your pictures from? And do they all have to be from same textu...
