Sometimes as you add more and more mulch, compost or whatever every year, the hostas get deeper and deeper and eventually start to do poorly. Does it look like the crowns are deep?

I would suggest pulling them out of the strawberry pot. I had a strawberry pot of mini hostas for several years. Beautiful Chris! My astilbe have not done well this year. Not enough rain. Some years the buds just fry on the plant .I water hand water my new plants,(had way too many to water this year) but missed some astilbes that were starving for water... Maybe next year will be better.

I wanted to enter into our local leaf show today, but I can't find a flawless leaf!!!!! Are they automatically out if they have a teeny tiny flaw?

I love that Deep Pockets! Nice! There is also Lakeside Sapphire Pleats, but that one is blue. How about Aspen Gold?

Of the smallest, Baby Bunting, Cracker Crumbs, Limey Lisa, Pandora's Box, Cherish and Faithful Heart are must haves!
Of the true smalls, I really like Flemish Sky, Rainbows End, Teaspoon, High Society (new this year) First Mate and Chartreuse Wiggles.
