I have had great luck with EL unless the heat factor is into play. Most of what i have done has been EL as a pod parent ,however, i am doing more pollen work this year. Keep trying, the EL leaf form is quite dominate in the crosses. :P I'll try to post a pic of one of my EL hybrids :wink:

interesting, i am new to hellebores and been trying to grow them as of late...i've been watering them like anything else :roll: . How dry are we talking chris? Do you water or fert at all? if not then when are they actively growing roots-just the spring?

They will usually sit dormat for a period of time...its quite a change of suroundings for them..you'd be scared too :D

I've used this one before and had simular results. It doesnt seem to take the glaucous waxes very well. I've considered using it as the pollen parent to see if it makes a difference?

Thanks for the positive feedback! It seems really hard to capture true colors. molly,wish- I'll see if i can get a shot of the seedling as a whole as well :) I was trying for a frosty blue with white backs and purple pets...didnt wind up quite as blue as i wanted so it was in a corner until i saw th...
