did you have any mallows or malvas or holly hocks in the area? Leaf looks kind of similar to the first leaves that come out from those in the hibiscus family

Should I cut off the affected foliage?
I don't like to use chemicals if I don't have to.

I had a post on 7/11 and you requested more photos of front and back of my lancifolia. I apoligize for the delay in getting these posted (rain and then procrastination). Attached are 4 postings with front and back views. Let me know what you think.

It is storming now, so I can't take any pictures, but will try to get some when it dries up. I ran out and looked at the leaves, and it looked like the biggest spot ate pretty much thru the leaf. The rest of the leaf looked good. But it was wet, so I can't tell if I'd see more if it were dry. Thanks...

I think the leaves in the photo could be older leaves, because they are thick. I went out in the thunderstorm to take a second look, and I see a couple of other smaller leaves that are also in the center of the plant. They are not as thick and are lighter in color - I think they may be new growth. I...

I'm getting paranoid here. I've got alot of spots on the lancifolia, and another solid green variety that I don't know the name. Some of the spots do come across the veins. Please tell me if I am in peril.

My Antioch has some weird things going on with the smaller inner leaves. Does HVX usually appear on the smaller inner leaves? The outer leaves look fine. Does this look like HVX?
