Hey everybody, I'm back. I had a wonky spring & summer. I've been sick on and off since May, but I'm on the mend now. Thanks for thinking of me Brian. I look forward to hanging out with you guys again. I definitely need some inspiration and help for the fall.
Cheers!

Re: Koi forum???

Hey George,
Thanks for the link. I can't wait to learn more about these majestic creatures. My favorite color pattern is Kohaku. I noticed on your website George that you have a few beautiful Kohakus among other outstanding koi. I think Tancho is my favorite. Thanks for the help.
Cheers!

This winter has been an old fashioned one so far, like when I was a kid. We’ve been getting a snowstorm every week. We’ve received ...

Hi Daren,
I have a wet spot too, and I was thinking of planting a Dawn Redwood. What do you think of those?

My hibiscus is sick:0(

Hi, I need some hibiscus help. It’s in the house and it's been at a stand still for about 4 months now with no flowers. From a distance it looks normal but when you get up close it has a wet substance on some of the leaves. And with further inspection today, I noticed tiny white bugs for the first t...

Hi George,
Should I pinch the candle right at the base, thus removing the whole candle? Or should I leave a little bit?

(update) I gave him a home in the front of the house. It really completed the look I was going for. I'm thrilled with it. I have a question though, when and how much should I pinch off the candles? I would like to keep it as small as possible.:D http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/8504/nawaki009small...

Thanks George, that makes sense. I'll experiment with a few small plants. I just need to find it now. I'll see what I can find. Mean while I'm in the middle of a new lawn project in the back yard. Little by little, it's coming along.

Hi guys, I love the way saxafraga and soleirolii looks. George, that’s a beautiful picture, especially with the koi/goldfish? and water. WOW! From what I’ve been reading, saxafraga and soleirolii might not like my spot. It’s in full sun all day, no shade. That’s what brought me to thyme. I’m in east...

Thymus serpyllum 'Elfin' question

Hi, I didn't know where to post this question. I posted this in the JP forum too. I have a full-sun spot around a large rock that I would like to do the karensansui affect. I found a groundcover online called Thymus serpyllum 'Elfin'. It sounds like it would be a perfect substitute for moss. I origi...
