question on Undulata turning green -- then back again
This is really odd... I have this Hosta I got back in 2007. It's one of my all time faves ... here are images of it https://www.perennialreference.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52825 last year, 2010, it had a lot of green leaves... I divided the entire plant and separated out the eyes with green le...

Re: Loyalist with HVX ?
Thanks Chris. We had a warm-ish [60-70's. near 80] in April... now in May, we've had some COLD night, low 30's, hail, sleet, and freeze warnings... I didnt really see any damage, but guess i did get some. I have one eye from a Frances Williams that i too thought was HVX... i've since replanted both ...

I noticed a lot of 'signs' that could be HVX. I have actually dug it up, but came here to find out for sure.

Re: Looking for an ID, undulata
the tag read "Northern Sunray" and when you look that one up, it does not fit the Hosta at all. I purchased it from Foxfire, and I had Emailed Steve about where he got it from - and said he never questioned the 'name' of the hosta because he purchased it from a reputable person. I have varieties 'Un...

Looking for an ID, undulata
I purchased this hosta in spring of 2007. After researching the name on the tag, I believe that it was incorrectly marked. I'm thinking this is Snow White, as it fits the description in the Hostapedia [page 872] It is stunningly white early on, then mists over and will eventually have some all green...

Re: Possible HVX
Thanks for the replies. I will go and see if i can find this plant again this year..... thankfully, it is not in my garden, but elsewhere in our RV Park, I thought the coloring was different/unique [i'd never seen HVX before] -- and when it was suggested, i was told to post it here for verification....

I too did the Flea Market thing over the past weekend, and also came upon a women who had hostas (big pots, $5) I asked if she knew the names... and pretty much as i expected -- Blank Stare. She just said, "I thought they were all hostas". I do know 2 of the pots were Golden Tiara, the others were j...

I found this hosta while browsing the HostaLibrary and i must say it's absolutely stunning and I just "gotta have it". BUT -- i also found out that is it not available. So, i'm curious if anyone actually has one, or knows of anyone who has it. Or knows how I can get one of these beauties. TIA, Teres...
