Re: A Few Hellebore Pictures
Regarding the first picture posted here, while most flowers had faded to green, that flower still had color, extending the season a bit. And I found the intense color of the seed pods to be attractive. But check out the seed pods on this hellebore: http://www.mytho-fleurs.com/images/Delabroye/Helleb...

Re: A Few Hellebore Pictures
That one has pretty typical foliage ... so far it seems like any plants I have with more heavily divided foliage have small and plain flowers. Maybe someday I'll take some foliage pictures and post them here.

Re: Three Strikes Picture
I got seeds from it this year ... I had taken this first iris "Jolt" and pollinated it with pollen from this second iris "Matt McNames" and the cross produced the white looking flower in the third picture, and I took pollen from that flower and pollinated the "Three Strikes".

Bloom on my Suaveolens
This is my little species iris called suaveolens v. rubromarginata. It bloomed for the first time yesterday. It was the end of the day and for this shot I tried holding the bloom up to the sky and using the flash. The color is off and too bright, but I thought it was a good picture anyway. That's th...

I should have more seeds from that plant than I can use if you want to trade a few. I even bought some little gauze drawstring bags to tie around the flowers and catch the seeds. Or I suppose I could trade pollen. I see that y'all had a hellebore seed trade here last year, how did that work out? Wer...

That first one is my favorite. It's funny, but the flower color keeps changing ... I remember looking at this one early in the season and noticing how part of the flower was black as coal ... a few weeks ago the flowers were sort of a brownish red, very rich and deep ... a week or two ago the flower...

A Few Hellebore Pictures
Here are a few of my favorites. The dark one is from Pine Knot Farms. The veined one is an Ashwood picotee. And the bright one at the bottom is from Phedar. http://mail.swva.net/users/mikesand@swva.net/pineknotfarmdark.jpg http://mail.swva.net/users/mikesand@swva.net/Pictures/ashwoodpicotee.jpg http...

"Key Lime Pie" & Agastache "Golden Jubile
These seem to work well together ... in the summer the agastache grows up and provides shade for the heuchera ... in the winter the agastache fades away and the heuchera remains ... and in the spring it looks this:
