OK....so if it is not a hosta...then what is it? It is cool looking. I do not usually buy plants at walmart, except annuals. But I do go look there and have not seen anything like that!! I like that orange glow it has, and yes that would make a cool hosta!!

Nothing.....

Nothing grows like a lancifolia!!! This one is a 3 year old division. An Amish friend found a bunch of them in a ditch on her farm and rescued them. She called me and gave me a bunch of them. As this was a gift, I felt obliged to plant them. She was so thoughtful to have called me and actually had t...

Never considered that one....

I lost both my dogs this year. :( But I have this rampage of squirrels in that bed because i have a feeder for them nearby. I think it should be ok. They are not near my HUGE hosta beds, this one is just where I have some plants that I have concerns with. Call it my hospital bed for hosta. I have a ...

Care full

I think potted hosta would be ok if one sunk the pots into the ground. I think given the reading I have done they are not touching any other hosta and I do not think they will ever be. I guess the thing to do is to wait and see. They looked just stressed to me. But then the leaves were such a horrid...

Seperate

I planted them in their own 'little garden' area....they are not miles away from other hosta but at least 3 - 5 feet. Is that enough?

That unnamed one seemd fine but the subcroea is in the same poor condition. Yes they were in seal plastic wrapped in wet papertowels and newspaper. I think the ...

Mail Order

I rec'd these Hosta via a mail order from someone I have engaged in discussions in another forum. I am really worried about these plants and I have planted themnow, but do you think they might have HVX or is it just that they were too long in shipping in a ziplocked bag?
