Re: Guests to our garden

I have really enjoyed looking at these critters. Now I would love to have a turtle in my garden. Meanwhile here are a few pictures of some of my other guests. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3797/10480757225_0fd8b03e3a_b.jpg 4-30-13 (22) by mctavish6 , on Flickr https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8635/16...

Re: My favorite garden/Your favorite garden(s)

It is nice to see more GW people here. Harry your garden looks wonderful. Watch out for Olive Bailey Langdon. Either you Halcyon is huge or OBL isn't fully grown. Donna, your neighbors must love you. How nice to create that beautiful space for everyone. Mocc. I think you may not need to downsize you...

Re: Your Gardening Assistant

Here are a few to add. Everyone's pets are beautiful. First of all I'm jealous of Chris and Don's hunters. I used to have hunters but they all died of old age within a few years of each other. This one, MItzi, is new to us. She's a sweetheart and does catch the occasional thing but not very often. S...

Re: Guests to our garden

I love the turtle. It looks just like a fake one I have in the garden. I can't resist posting these visitors. They are not in my garden. They came from a friend in Australia. She has also sent me pictures of kangaroos and koala's. These are Tawny Frogmouth's. At first they look like wood. She told m...

Re: My favorite garden/Your favorite garden(s)

What a beautiful garden Cowboy. What a lot of grass! You are like Faye in that. She has a lot of grass too. Grass = a blank slate for me. You invited us to share our favorite garden. You may be getting more than you bargained for. I was intending to show this garden all last summer but first I lost ...

Re: Hosta 'Roy Klehm'

I like that one very much. It looks pretty close to it's parent Summer Serenade. I planted both Summer Serenade and Satisfaction (sisters) next to each other. Their parent, Piedmont Gold is just over and below them. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8674/16456218747_7cb195f5f2_b.jpg Summer Serenade and...

Hi Ken and everyone else. I will be posting here more often. The pictures look much better and that's a deal breaker for me. Myrle

Re: Other hosta forums

I'm with you all. I've always liked Hallsons and highly respected Chris. It did seem like this forum was less focused on pictures than GW so that is usually where I was. Houzz reducing our pictures to 500 ruined the quality of pictures and the enjoyment for me. I'm still waiting for a clear answer i...

Re: Your Gardening Assistant

What is a garden without pet's helping you? Here are a couple of older pictures. I'm trying to learn how to post pictures on this forum. This is a different way than the pictures on the thread of what got us interested in Hostas. Let's see what happens. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7449/1017793120...

Re: That's my story & I'm sticking to it. What is your story

Thanks to Cowboy for starting this. It's always interesting to see how other people 'discovered' hostas and found their way from appreciation to obsession. I did not come from a gardening family or a place where people generally gardened very much. Southern California is a place of severely clipped ...

Hi Cowboy. What a miracle. I haven't been on this forum for years but I managed to log on with no trouble. Your Liberty is fantastic. Hallsons obviously does not have a limit in size. That is great news. Myrle

I think hostas go with anything. Here are some pictures with bulbs, annuals, perennials and bushes. http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k350/potso2/5-23-0823p1.jpg http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k350/potso2/8-30-08p56.jpg http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k350/potso2/6-5-0751p.jpg http://i324.ph...
