Has anyone ever dug up a yew bush? I have 5 in front of my house that are just getting so thin. I think I should get rid of them but I'm afraid it'll be really really rough to dig them up. They are about 5 feet tall and 5 feet wide.

Yes Bonemeal sounds like the dog's name, but it wasn't Helen. She was in on it always talking about Grasshopper like from Kung Fu & the meaning of hosta afterlife or something like that. I kno this was a man who took excellent photographs & hybridized hostas & got amazing results.

Someone once told me you should not plant impatiens around hostas. I used to all the time and never had a problem. They said there was a disease the impatiens would give to the hostas. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?
