Re: A forest in my new lawn!
I'm sorry!!! I understand because my neighbor planted poplar trees whose roots run underground and new trees pop up everywhere. I tried to dig one up, but the root was bigger than the new tree and it went on for at least fifteen feet. I think it has run under my patio and come out the other side. I ...

I still have lawn questions but my thread doesn't seem to generate much interest. How do I kill the grass under young trees and shrubs without also killing the plants? PLEASE!

Re: Your Favorite Cranesbill
I get it! I should have planted them in my arid spot around the mailbox. Too late now. They're gone.
I have geranium sanguineum but it didn't spread prolifically like the New Hampshire purple.

Your Favorite Cranesbill
What's your favorite cranesbill(hardy geranium)? My favorite would be Midnight Reiter if I could make it grow. Because mine all died, my favorite is New Hampshire Purple because that grows better than any others that I've planted. It's gorgeous

Re: ARGH! Computers and Dumb User
When in doubt, call tech support!! I spent a couple hours on the phone last night with tech support doing the wireless dance. Got to love those folks, not all folks are computer savvy and I just love the gal I got last night, she kept telling me search is in the upper right hand corner!! It's okay....

Re: ARGH! Computers and Dumb User
Hello, new here to the Forum. I had registered several years ago but wasn't able to spend much time here. I had the same problem with having lost a tool bar. I'm using IE version 8, on an XP Pro platform. Maybe this will help. Click on any of the toolbar areas that do show, and make sure that "Menu...

Oh, I can relate. I've killed about seven or eight clematis. This year I bought another one. I hope I don't kill it.

Re: The Final Chemo Update
Thanks, friends! Hate to tell you, but it is snowing again here in marvelous Minnesota. It's supposed to turn into rain tomorrow, but right now it looks like November. ICK! Phyllis CONGRATULATIONS on your good news about the cancer! As for your weather, I pay attention to it. I have a daughter in M...

She fixed part of it. The next time she comes over I'll try to explain what's still missing. I just don't get this stuff.

Re: Ugh. Losses from last year's drought
I have brown shrubs everywhere because of last summer's drought! And I don't know why we're getting such little rain this spring. So I definitely can relate to "Losses." Unfortunately.

Re: Lawn help, please!
There is a somewhat large area way at the back pf the yard, that was a mound covered with mostly weeds and a little grass. I paid my granddaughter's BF to till because I can't and he needs the money. He's just a college kid and he works very hard but I don't think his parents have taught him the fin...

Lawn help, please!
I now have to rely on my granddaughter's boyfriend to mow my lawn. He tried to tell me that it's okay to mow when the lawn is wet. I looked it up online while he was mowing and told him it isn't okay. Then there were clumps of cut grass all over the place, clippings in all the flowerbeds, and the co...
