Very nice flowers scented too doesnt do to well for me over here tho and mine was very prone to slugs that and Honeybells and Royal standard

on closer inspection go more with the Plantagenea post but it may come more true in another year see what colour it is when it emerges next year if its more green than yellow then deffo Plantagnea

The August moon Looks the right colour but maybe not the right leaf shape Unless you removed some of the leaves and left the mid season leaves, Mine used to do that earlier leaves were more rounded mid season leaves were strangely shaped almost banana shaped at times. it was one of my first hosta an...

Not so sure I would agree with Crusaider that one to me has much rounder leaves and more solid margins thats much nicer than Crusaider to me it almost looks like a sagae

Devon green is a slower grower (in my experience) but had dramatically shiny leaves can stand quite a bit of sun too, once e very popular hosta over here but seems to have gone into decline now. Also very similar to DG is Valeries Vanity never experienced that one tho

really like tho open plan idea of this hosta however what it looks like after several years of growth will it have lost the space etc between leaves?? I think it would be an ideal candidate for a small pot as it looks now very star shaped sateley and indvidual.

WOW that is a very attractive hosta please let me k now is the cntre white or cream? I love it however the name well not the best am sure it could have been more attractively named. There again I am not American.

ok I have used coffee grounds for quite some period of time and to be honest have never suffered any losses, however when I refer to my back yard I mean an English back yard (I think there nis some languae confusion here) a British back yard is exactly that a Yard;concrete cement and walls NOT a gar...

Maybe agree with your comment re the slugs it didnt work for me last time but luckily I don't have that much slug damage. I had heard hey are a good nitrogen supply and guess after a while they add to the drainage in pots. Loath to throw anything out that can be recycled

Coffee grounds

Any one else use coffee grounds as a mulch or soil addative I have been using it over the past year to top up pots or mix in with the compost. All my hosta are in containers and seem to do absolutley fine compost I ues is grow bag stuff with addition of small amount of gravel and topp off with coffee grouns seem to heep thme happy
