I have this one DW only a small crown dont think it a fast grower and reminds me of Great Expectations that did badly for me got smaller each year 'till I put it in compost heap ha then it died

Wolverine does have a great cascading shape Looks even better in a pot or better still a pot inside an old tall chimney pot Not certain what you call them over there maybe chimney stacks, any way looks fantastic with its cascading habit as would pineapple upside down maybe even Elvis Lives

Thank you that is what I did well with Francee and one or two others I want aware of the fact I was actually doing something scientifically right it just seemed the right thing to do, I didnt want them to out extra energy into making seed

Very impressive especilal the PUC and PH I just got a PH and well happy with it hope its not slow to get to a good clump I beleive its a fortunei so should do well given a year or so

Mine was great then for some reason decreased in size gettting smaller and smaller each year as did Lacy belle in end took them out and divided them not sure which was which ater so think I may have a mixed pot now !!!

Better to remove flowers???

Some of my hosta are in their first year from nurseries. Is it better to allow them to flower and leave them or better to remove scapes and let them use less energy for next year. Not a great fan to hosta flowers anyway unless they scented Guacamole still to flower despite getting massive

Thank you for the welcome so wish I had a proper garden there again when I did and my hosta became bigger and more established I was forever digging them out and moving them about to suite placing better ha perhaps hosta in pots aren't that bad, Hopefully may be able to show pics soon :roll:

Looks a stunning plant but I think with all the white (less chlorophyl) it may be very slow as was white feather for me gave up on it 3 years on and dwindled away to nothing. :eek:
