Mine took some 10 years before it flowered at all. This is its best year so far. I only prune to keep it cut back to size, and it has never been fed (in line with my motto 'feed nothing, and then nothing will feel left out' ) :)

Take as big a root ball as possible, and prepare the planting hole in advance, so that the tree is out of the ground for as short a time as possible (it might not even notice being mov...

Good to see the new leaf on the Japanese maples. It is certainly true that these trees are at their prettiest close up in Spring, and from a distance in Autumn

Yes Pia, the weather here has been beautiful ever since we returned from Barbados in early March. Had some great weather over the Easter holiday period particularly
Here's hoping that it isn't an early summer and about to change :)
