Re: Idiots Bahati Ya Minga E 15 The One With No Animals

The next to last photo made me yawn.If you use a bit of imagination,
the tree appears to be stretching its limbs and yawning!
Or maybe ...I just need to go to bed!

Re: Wild Lotus pond pics

Hi, Viktoria, It's good hearing from you.I am well, and still able to do a bit of gardening! The pond is privately owned and well posted, they allow the reeds and brush to grow along the edge of the bank by the road to help hide the pond from view. The uniqueness of the pond is the Lotus,if they were ...

I have two 'Jade Cascade',both about the same size.I planted the first one in my back yard, and when I saw how beautiful and graceful it was, I put one in front of my house.I do get comments about it,mostly asking what kind of plant is it?It stays looking good all season,I love it! This Hosta will no...

Yellow Francis William?

I stopped at a nursery on Saturday, two plants in a group of ten Frances William Hosta had mostly solid yellow leaves.I would say the ratio was 40% FW leaves 60% solid yellow leaves. The leaf shape & size looked the same, and I did a vein count, and they matched.I did not have my camera with me and I ...

Streaked or virused?

I have a friend named Harry, aka Harry the Horse, he owns a few greenhouses and grows a variety of plants to sell each year.Since 2004 he uses one of his houses to grow Hosta and Daylily, about 40 + variety of Hosta, and I would guess about the same amount of Daylily.I visit early every spring and buy...

I have Winterberry,Holly, and other berry bushes growing on my property..I planted them so the birds would have some thing to eat during the harsh winters we have in the Great Northeast.I've noticed every year in late Feb.,(especially after a snow fall) a flock of Robins will appear and devour every ...

Don't fence me in

While taking a shortcut through an old abandoned school yard recently,I came upon this unusual sight.I believe this remarkable tree deserves a tribute for it's tenacity and perseverance, because in it's will to survive,it literally "ate"the top rail and part of the chain link fence which stood in it'...
