ya know.. i visited some local grower last summer .. pretty darn good grower .. though he doesnt specialize in pots .. though he keeps quite a few handy for those impulse sales .. and he told me.. there was no need to go all fancy .. and to err on the side of caution ... especially for us peeps who ...

the term is.. TERMINAL WHITES ... rather common in seedlings .... as noted.. they do not have any chlorophyll ... to feed themselves... so they just wither away .. once separated ... there is one shot at glory ... if it green up later in the season ..... as some of the whites do .. i THINK outhouse ...

in fact ... its so cool down there... he does most of his work in a tux with tails.. and a top hat ...

hey bk pips are winter proofs ... leaves are not ... so once they leaf out.. they need protection from frost/freeze ... as to a specific magical temp ... when damage occurs ... well .. as you know.. that is a called a micro climate ... and varies wildly ... if your are on pavement.. that will retain...

first off.. its never hot in chris' garden.. with the 60 to 80 foot walnuts ... second ... does the porch railing lock ... to keep disinterested spouses up there.. sorta like a baby gate??? .. now that would be useful ... lol ... as to interior heat.. as i read it.. he isnt going to be spending time...
