hosta

The hosta folks sent me over for your expert advice. I have a dry area under spruce trees Some hostas seem to love it there but I want to plant one of the larger ,more dramatic ones. Its not an area that I get to water very often. I have considered digging a hole about 18" deep and about 3' in dia. ...

Helen ---Grasses now ??? The perfect solution is to grow them in your daughters lot and watch to see if they are invasive then pick and chose. Carving show in July.

This is sold in the paint section of the local hardware. The solution is made up ;tool soaked for a f...

hello chris. I notice that when you talk about cleaning your tools your preference seems to be the rubbing alcohol method over the amonia. Is this correct and if so why ? And what % do you advise for both.
thanks

I don't know about anyone else but I am amazed at the number of nurseries who claim to never have heard of this virus. In fact out of 10 that I spoke to None had heard of it. But In those where the owner was a gardner, IE not a MART, theye were very interested. On PEI this past weekend I talked to t...

I e-mailed both Canadian tire and wal-mart canada last night to mention to them about noticing what I am sure were virused plants in my Nova...

It would be interesting to know if the wallmarts of the world lurk on sites like this or are we to far down in the food chain. I suspect that if and when they get the message that we can go elsewhere and will they will get the message. They can talk about customer satisfaction but only the almighty ...

Chris this is quite a problem for us all but the nursery bus. will suffer greatly when the buyers leave and the buyers will suffer when the hobby becomes a major headache. Is it possible to post and sticky as many e-mail addresses of suppliers and retailers so as many hosta lovers can e-maiil and co...
