I'm with Denise. I've been hearing it'll be this year since 2003 so I've lost complete interest in adding this book to the collection here. At the rate we learn about hostas and discover new hostas he could write forever. There's a time to say enough is enough for 1 book and publish it.

Same results as Bob and Jeff here. I stopped at 10 and could've went more if needed I opened 5 windows in FireFox and 5 in IE with no problems at all

Mine here get's full direct sun from about 8 A.M in the morning till 1 P.M and still looks good all summer.

I agree with Hank. If the soil is dry then you'd be best to water. Not enough moisture content in the soil will lead to dry rotting also..

In my experience WATER is the most important thing for hostas. My plants can't live off mulch alone cause there's minimal moisture content in MULCH. And Mulch isn't what takes the nutrients to where there needed. Then again it's a hosta and I've seen some live with minimal of all. Throw a hosta on t...

It's was planted to deep to begin with and was pulling/raising it's crown to the proper depth so your seeing stacked crowns. I've accidentally had this happen a few times here. I always break the lowest crown off and plant in a different spot. Then plant the rest with the highest crown 1/8 to 1/4 in...

A hosta that doesn't bloom will have no effect on the plant yearly. Been there done that already and seen with my OWN eyes there was no effect of the plants.
