Re: Weedlings in the garden - are you saving some?

I've seen more weedlings under my hostas this year then ever before. They are still tiny, at 2 leaves, so I'm going to let them have some more time before I weed them out. A lot of them are under my Sea Gulf Stream seedlings.

Re: Strange leaves on Francee

Be interesting to hear what people say. I saw your post on fb but I never can find the posts after a couple of days, so am glad to see the same post here where it won't get lost.
To a certain extent my Birchwood Parky's Gold leaves do this same sort of thing each year.

The honeysuckles I'm familiar with have opposite leaves not alternate leaves.
I don't recognize this plant.

Re: Iris

I don't know the name. I dug them out of a friend's mother's garden in Salem, Or. Mom was being moved and house sold, so my friend said, go down and take whatever you want. I dug the iris not even knowing what color they were.

Re: Idiots Without Borders Episode 9 Desert in Bloom

The desert must have gotten just the right amount of rain this winter to bloom like that. The cacti put on a very good show.

Re: A couple of seedlings today.

Thanks for posting a couple of your seedlings, Ed. I have been very slack in posting seedlings this year as most of mine are still in tiny pots with several others and they don't look the best. I've just been too busy this winter/spring. It happened so early this year. Now it is in the high 70's, lo...

Re: Do the "weedlings" of these really develop.

Paul sent me some of his Helleborus seedlings one summer and the 2 I put in the ground bloomed 2 summers later. I finally got them all planted in the ground and 3 more bloomed this year. I'm still waiting on several others to bloom. So I would say 2-4 years. I tried saving and growing some seeds fro...
