I wouldn't recommend stomping, mowing, hitting, smashing, crushing, cutting and all those other bad and awful things that make me shudder. If you stomp a hosta, you may get the plant to produce more the current year but at the expense of next year's eyes. If you mow the plant you open it up via all ...

Chartreuse Wiggles was recommended with a qualifier that it does tend to attract slugs due to the thinner substance of its leaves. I grew mine against a fence in my "mini" hosta area where it received bright shade most of the day. I also grew it in a 4-inch raised bed so it never sat with its roots ...

So nice to see unfurled hosta!

You are quite a bit ahead of us here in Michigan so it's great to see them all leafed out!

Julia was one of my short-lived hosta. I had it in my garden about three seasons and then one spring it didn't return.

It reminds me a bit of Francee with a nice variegated edge.

I purchased mine from a big box store so that's probably why it didn't make it.

Sorry I can't tell you more.

Wanda is a great camera expert. I recommend Canon anything. The sureshots are great for everyday stuff. Add my 'NO' to the list ... LOTV should only grow in places where it can be corralled such as the tree lawn ... that space between the roadway and the sidewalk in the city or in an area where you can't seem to get anything else to grow ... just remember to provide a containment field

Renaldo,
How nice to have visitors! And never worry about what the gardens look like ... real gardens look past the weeds.
It's going to be a couple of years before I'll feel comfortable having people tour ... There is still so much to do.

Ladybug -- we've only been in the house a couple of months so we aren't settled enough to even have the prints and such on the walls. I will post on the Garden Bench when I have the time.
