Dixie Chickadee only sported once for me. Although it does throw off an almost solid leaf now and again.

Re: What is the Hosta you're most disappointed in?
LOL-Mine just comes up and stays the same size every year. I was thinking of putting it in my small/mini raised garden. Bet if I did that it would grow. Gonna try it this week, see what happens.

Re: What is the Hosta you're most disappointed in?
My Dixie Chickadee is doing great as is the solid green it sported that I cut off and planted. One I did forget to mention was Peanut-its not doing well and shrunk from last year. I will be looking for a replacement for it soon.

Re: What is the Hosta you're most disappointed in?
I totally agree with Loyalist, it never grows any bigger, I have Orange Marmalade since last year, it has gotten a bit bigger, hoping for it to leap next year. Too bad on the Frozen Margarita-I was going to try and start a small garden with Hosta named after drinks, so that one is out. I love my Fri...

Re: What is the Hosta you're most disappointed in?
Wow, poor Americana I lost Jewel of the Nile this year. I don't see any shrinking, just not getting any bigger. Sun Power has never flowered either. I think I am going to dig it up and check for root competition with the trees there.

Re: My mini & small garden this year
I keep most of the smaller ones separated otherwise they kind of get lost among the bigger guys I see that the razors edge is heading towards being bigger, time will tell if I have to move it.

What is the Hosta you're most disappointed in?
Mine is Sun Power-here it is. Its 4 years old and is only a tiny bit larger than when I got it. I may move it from between the 2 trees. http://i782.photobucket.com/albums/yy102/plantgnome/hosta/DSCN0405.jpg The Runner up is Loyalist still the same size as when I got it 3 or so years ago. http://i782...

My mini & small garden this year
I am pretty happy with all of them except Peanut which just limping along. My favorite of all of them is The Razors Edge which is looking good this year.

Re: Hosta of the year ... in your garden.
I would say mine is Blue Umbellas-Only had it since last fall and it is a real meaty Hosta and I love vase shaped Hosta's the best. This year my Blue Angel's have really took a leap this year too.

Re: Sick of weeding already
LOL-my daughters and son in laws place which they bought from his parents has about 40 of this blasted Rose of Sharon which drop seed all over the place, I pulled at least 100 seedlings, about 25 two foot tall ones and round uped the rest. I hate those plants almost as much as the Yucca which you ca...
