Wow! I can't imagine how Geneva Firetruck produced that second bloom. Every other photo on the web I can find looks like the first one (red/yellow edge) but none of them have the purple eye and are pale lavender......... are you positive that is the same plant?

Re: Very Unhappy!
Absolutely! I would dig it and replant now(depending on your local temps). I believe Cecile Brunner may be a once bloomer, but planting and watering A LOT and light fertilizing between now and July will give you a stronger plant next spring. Okay - I may amend that - are you mail ordering and planti...

Re: Very Unhappy!
Are you sure the puny climber isn't the rootstock Dr Huey taking over? Dr Huey isn't known as a climber, but can be really scraggly and leggy. http://www.google.com/search?q=dr+huey+rose&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7ADFA_en&prmd=ivnso&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=j3nwTeqGD...

I'm so sorry your hostas were damaged.... I feel the pain. I was lax in using Liquid Fence and the hooved devils went through my beds like it was an All You Can Eat buffet.....

Very pretty! Mine are setting scapes right now - I am actually surprised a few are as far along! I won't expect to see blooms for another couple of weeks though..... check back because it does pick up here!

Re: Can anyone help ID this one?
I think you are correct - American Halo. I was weeding yesterday and found the tag for it, but no plant. After searching around and not finding any trace of it and no vole tracks, I think I must have potted it up late last season and forgot the tag.
Thanks again!

Can anyone help ID this one?
Blue with white edge (starts cream goes to bright white) M-L 10 vein pairs and putting up scapes now (May 31). I have lost the tag, might it be one of the Halos? (Northern, American, etc) All guesses welcome. THANKS! Alexa http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/caliloo/garden%20and%20flowers%202011/...

One more I forgot to include... it isn't my taste, but it might make some interesting babies. It is next to big streaky above from the same mix of seeds.

Two of my babies are growing up!
This one is showing ripply edges for the first time.... it is BIG and streaky and from seeds I purchased several years ago (unknown parentage, they were labeled "streaked mix") http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/caliloo/IMG_20110523_142137.jpg This is another unknown parentage... from seeds I co...
