I practically had to twist Chris' arm to talk him out of one this Spring (thanks Chris)...but I'm also quite glad to have one growing in a pot. After my order from Chris has recovered from travel I'll post some pics.

Thanks, I love my hostas...I'll love them even more if I can get some into the new garden bed...rainy weather has made that a challenge!

Since I am in Virginia, in zone 7b/borderline 8a, I don't do anything special to overwinter the pots other than let the leaves fall on them from the large mature oaks, and remove them in spring. I've lost some hostas, but not, I think to the winter weather unless the pots totally cracked and came ap...

The photo of Fireworks was taken at the Hidden Lake Gardens Hosta Hill by the way...but it is a lovely hosta!

The best time of year to order is in winter, when most of the garden places post their spring offerings...usually around the holidays. For now, order as soon as you can and make a wish list for next year...you can use the "Journal" forum here to keep track of what you have and what you wish for...I ...
