Hellebore of the Day-April 3rd

I can't keep up. Jump in anytime.

This was also one of John's favorites. A nice light burgandy double. He has good taste.

Hellebore of the Day-March 28th

Let's go with this lovely double. This is Kellie's husband John's favorite. I say we name it. How about Helleborus x hybridus 'Old Man'? Has a nice ring to it. Ask John about that one, Kellie.

Hellebore of the Day-March 25th

Here's my pick of the day. This is one from Heronswood, one of the many miscellaneous babies that Kellie is having me watch. It's a green double with burgandy edging.

Indian Magic has lots of fruit, too. It's a different color. This is a picture of it in fall, and the fruit has more of a orangy/yellow tint in winter.

I have Indian Magic and Prairifire. Prairifire is just stunning. The new growth is just starting to come out now, and the leaves are purple. They fade to green later in summer. The flowers are a lovely darker pink shade. Here's some pics of the fruit. (am I smart enough to have a photo of the flower...

Those little stinkers! That would explain how they ended up in the nooks and crannies of the pathways. Good ants!

Cyclamen seed

Here's your weird find of the day. I'm outside weeding in the gravel pathway that goes through my garden, and I start finding Cyclamen babies. The nearest Cyclamen is maybe 10 feet from this area. Can they shoot seed that far? Look how many I found.

I found one website that makes custom doggie gates, wooden ones, but they don't respond to my email inquiries, so I don't know if they're still in business. Anyone ha...
