Re: Your FAVORITE upright (vase-shaped) hostas

While mine is still young, the photos of a mature "Frank Lloyd Wright" from Rick Goodenough makes my little heart go 'pitter patter.'

Oh, Karma, I am so sorry to hear about your Mitzy. It is so hard....

Sable is a precious little girl! What a sweet face!

I pray she gives you and your family many years of delightful companionship, just as Mitzy did.

I hope you'll keep us updated on her progress. :D

Re: hostas in container

You have a much greater chance overwintering hosta in pots in zone 4, I think, than in warmer climates. Once hosta are frozen, and c...

Re: Question about transplanting

Thanks, Ed. I do want to transplant all of them as I got to see the results this year. The main consideration is knowing what color they are, so I know where to place them. There were a few that were shorter than the rest, but I could probably mark those now, based on the height of the dead bloom sc...

Question about transplanting

I'm new to daylilies, thanks to all the lovely seed offerings on this forum. I got some seeds from Ed (thanks again, Ed) and someone else a couple years ago and now I have MANY lovely daylily seedlings. I planted ALL the seedlings out thinking I may get a dozen or so keepers, but they are all terrif...

We have them around here, too and what a mess they make. Our fruit is always FULL of worms....I'd definitely throw it out after setting it on fire first. But, if you really like it.... :D

Re: Our Papillon Pup! Meet Choco!

While I don't have Paps, I have had dogs for years. Have you considered supplementing his lower protein kibble with some raw hamburger? The high fat grade has lots of proteins and good fats for dogs. Not anymore expensive than good kibble.

I love this idea! Not sure it would fit in my country setting, but my daughter in the urban area would love it!
