Re: Hosta Visitors

Yes, you sure are right about the visit ending too soon. I just love to learn what my NOID ones are so I can tag them. Then I want to get rid of the virused ones, and I have 2 for sure and 1 maybe. One is gone and rocks are used for the RIP. Will work on the big Captain Kirk on Sunday. It was a grea...

It was great timing as I have been on vacation this week and the neighbor volunteered to help me weed my big hosta bed. This has been one of the best stay at home vacations. Being out in the hosta's and ...

Re: Where to start?

Hey Linda that cow manure sure works great. Makes the hosta's grow really big, especially this year. I don't have near the hosta's that you have but I sure want them all. Yes it is a disease that I sure hope they don't find a cure for.
Take care

Re: Hosta Fest

Hi Linda, I sure am going to try and get there this year. Last year I was ready to go and we had terrible thunderstorms that morning, so I didn't want to get caught in a downpour. I have been caught before and its not fun at all to be stopped on an Interstate highway because you cannot see do to the...

Re: Northern Exposure

Sure hope mine looks like that next spring. 3rd year for it, but not if we get hailed on again like last year. Such a disappointment, after waiting all winter for it and it looked so good. With my knee pain last year I just about gave up, but I did plant quite a few new one anyway. It will be better...

My Fallen Angel gets morning sun then is in dappled shade from a very old oak tree. It is on the southeast side of this tree. It is only the second year for me, so this spring I thought it was kinda sick looking. I know  , it's suppose to look that way when it first comes up. I planted it very...
