Probably 2697 is my favorite.....I like the sheen and very strong ruffle. Would the "sheen gene" come from the pollen parent you suppose?

LAKESIDE BLACK SATIN AND T REX

The L Black Satins are about 4 years old, darker that regular green, but not really dark-------nice tidy little shiny plants. Really fascinated with the T Rex.....

Sort of like Chihuahua and the Great Dane, huh?

I'm in the same dilemma.......the wrong ones are going to bloom long before my pod parents---- Looking at what is happening is places like NH, and zone 4 IOWA already getting scapes, when they hardly have finished the unfolding.... furthermore, it's all over the hosta spectrum, not just sieboldianas...

WHO ARE THE EARLIES/LATER BLOOMERS?

Is anyone else having early scapes? I had a list of what types bloomed early/late, but can't find it. Anyone know? Right now I've got a hosta I thought was Nigersens Elatior (nigresens/montana) about to bloom, which according to Zilis, doesn't bloom until mid-July to early Aug, but has got it's huge...

Come to think of it, it may be fresh in my mind that that Tyrannisaurus Rex (this is something I heard on NPR a couple of weeks ago, on one of the "Science Fridays" the idea that it didn't become extinct at all, but became the modern day chicken. So yesterday I went to Kentucky Fried Chicken and had...

A brown Cherrio.

They also like to hide in the drain hole of a nursery pot.

I think I need a life.

Last night I dreamt about the streaked seedlings I just put outside. I dreamt that that some chickens and their chicks got into the garden and ate them all up, leaving just holes left in the ground. So I put a shiny red radish from the grocery store in each hole. I wonder who is the scriptwriter for...

I noticed mine as well, and found the leaf to be 8 inches----maybe we should take note that our hostas need more water than what we've been giving them????

Thanks, guys. You know it's said that good ones from seeds are few and far between {excuse me, but most of the greats were from seed, right?], and maybe it's not as much fun as walking down rows of 1000's of tc's and reaching down and picking up a sport, ( --puff-puff--wiping sweat off brow--...

If the purpose of this drill is to know which ones are "must haves" I'll take the oppty to suggest to anyone, that they FIRST ACQUIRE their tokadamas, Tok. Flav., Tok. Aureo , and Zounds. And your top-pick sieboldianas (corrigated ones, like American Halo, Northern Exposure . ......the reason to get...

T. Rex

I got a piece of T Rex 2 seasons ago, and it just sat there with a single eye doing nothing until this spring. It now has 2 eyes, but one of it's leaves is already 15-3/3 inches by 12 inches, and I think it still stretching! Anyone else have one?

I was thinking about that the other day........no more film cannisters, and those were so handy. Diabetes test strips, that most every diabetic uses, come in those air-tight containers, so they could be a source. Need quite a few, I'd think.
