Re: Raccoon robbery?

Just an update. Last night I saw a video clip on Win Blog of a raccoon stealing a thin rug through a cat door! Unbelievable!

Re: Harry my mini schnauzer :(

I'm so sorry, too. He was such a little cutie. It's amazing how quickly we fall in love with them. I had a little kitten that got saved out of a dumpster. She was so tiny we had to feed her with a bottle. She was black with grey tabby markings like she was a reverse tabby. Very cool. We named her Mi...

Re: Opinion on H. 'Aristocrat'

I keep mine in full shade and it does great. I really love the coloration on this one. Now, mine isn't huge because I had to move it a couple of times for work we had done on the house, but it is nicely shaped.

Good boy! He came back so nice. I thought he was going to catch the lure there for awhile! How do they make it move?

The pre-anesthesia drug most commonly used (Acepromazine) is deadly to boxers. But that isn't a shocking side effect if you know about it. One of our friend's brother's champion they imported from England died having his teeth cleaned. The vet didn't know about the reaction beforehand. Very sad for ...

Very, very nice! I hope they cherish it. So many people today don't have a clue when it comes to appreciating the time and love poured into a gift like that! It is a very happy quilt.

Re: Raccoon robbery?

We had a big metal pot we used for the dog's food get stolen as well as a big white pyrex casserole dish we used after the pot went! We later (like two years!) found them in the woods behind our house. But only after the developer started clearing to build. Just be glad that is all that has happened...

Re: Christmas Projects

I was looking on the Bernina Blog site and found a link to a shop called Spool. The link is spoolsewing.com and they have a pattern for a cloth bird they made a baby's mobile with. I printed the pattern and sewed it up in about 45 mins. I am going to make bold colored tree ornaments with this patter...

Re: Aconitum 'Bicolor' - monkshood

That is really cool, but not for my garden even though it would look neat in my "sorta white" garden. Ben is 4 1/2 and still puts all kinds of plant matter into his mouth. I still have to be careful about stuff like that. But what a bonus deal! I love getting a nice two for one.

Re: lost identity

I would guess Eromena maybe. But I am concerned about the leaf that is at 1:00 from the gazing ball. It looks like the cells are all sunken like HVX. Is that just an optical illusion?

Not showing symptoms like my El Nino :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: . It has gone to the big garbage dump in the sky. I wish they were cheaper as well. I am out and need to get some more. But I just spent $33 on quilt fabric today. Oops! Really only meant to look.

Re: Noooooo!

Mine showed no symptoms at all and I have had it since 2004. From what Chris says, the tc batches from that year were probably all infected. I don't know. But I just used a piece of leaf the size of a quarter. You can use a snip of root as well, but I like to use the leaf because it's easier for me ...

I called Andi (Doublemom2) and she said she bought it in 2004, too. But hers has been all around her garden. Mine has been in a pot until two months ago. I just hope nothing else has been infected. The green thing makes sense, then. It was in the 100's here a couple of weeks ago while we were ...

Noooooo!

After your comments about how El Nino can hide the symptoms of HVX I decided to use one of my last two agdia strips to test it. It popped positive! I bought it from the Boyz in 2004 and it still looks ok. Just a bit sun fried on the ends, but that is another story. I am not going to dig it yet. I ju...

Re: Good thoughts and prayers need!

Oh Mike! I am so sad for you both. Do go physically to the shelters. My neighbor picked up our Pepe kitty thinking he was a starving stray. He was 18 going on 19 with kidney failure so he looked like heck. Actually he had put on a pound or two when she took him to the pound. I found him in the last ...
