Re: Helpwith Id

If it gets drawstring like crazy later in the season then Carnival it is, otherwise I would say LS Legal Tender.

Re: Purple Haze hosta

Hey all - I'm back!

I picked this one up today - it was marked Pewterware, but it seems it may have been a mismarked Purple Haze. Would you all weigh in on this>

As always, thanks in advance!

Re: Hellebores blooming NOW?

Thansk Chris and KHT!

They certainly dont bloom year around here, there is still some bitter cold to come, I'm sure. But, I will leave them and hope for the best - there are a TON of buds!

Happy New Year to all!

Hellebores blooming NOW?

With our very strange non-winter here, my hellebores are very confused. Since it has been in the 50's, I decided to take a garden walk to see if anything was happening and was stunned to see buds ready to open on some of my hellebores. I KNOW we are still going to have a couple of months of winter, ...

Re: Daily Hosta #1 - 'Hidden Cove' - Add your pics

I love this one and for whatever reason, it does NOT love me. Mine has struggled the last few years and this year I don't even think it came back...... its a shame, because I really like it!

Mine has been very slow. It is attractive, but has not significantly increased since it has been in the ground for the last 3 years.

A few from this past week....

It is pouring rain, so I am playing inside today. Seedling - this one polys about 50% of the time. Not sure if that is a "trait" that can be passed along or not. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/caliloo/garden%20and%20flowers%202011/polyseedling6-29.jpg Bitone seedling. Was butt ugly last year...

Gorgeous photos! Little Rainbow seems very happy - it is one of my favs. I also really like Westbourne Harvest Moon, Beautiful Edgings and Pencil Thin Mustache.
They all look super fantastic and I am looking forward to seeing more photos!

more from today June 25 and new purchases

I bought a few today from the local nursery that is handling the plants rescued from the bulldozed farm. Here is: ROYAL OCCASION http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/caliloo/garden%20and%20flowers%202011/Whatsinaname.jpg NOID - unless I can find the tag, http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/cali...

Re: Can anyone help with a name? Tag is broken

Thanks KHT..... Mystery solved. It is an unregistered seedling. The nursery I was at got all the daylilys from a hobby hybridizer last year. Seems the elderly gentleman had passed and his heirs decided to let the nursery have all the plants since the farm was going to be razed for a new development....

Can anyone help with a name? Tag is broken

All I have on the tag is Hem "Sarah Saw........... and I can't find any information. I just bought it today, it is absolutely NOT a color I would ever consider, except all the other qualities are so spectacular on this thing, I want to cross it with everything in my yard to see what I get as offspri...
