Re: Anyone have Don Quixote?

The "water platters" are Victoria water lilies and you are correct, Glo...they are native to South America.

Beautiful pictures!

Re: So where are the convention photos?

We're playing catch-up here, too. The three days of 90*+ last week really did a number on some things while we were gone. Even mature plants in the garden burned badly...I've never seen things burn so quickly. We've been so cool and wet, I think the plants were too lush. It was nice to meet you, Chr...

It was so great to spend time with everyone in Champaign! We all need to live closer together, so we can have f...

I agree with Linda, Marlys...this is definitely an illness! The Fest qualifies as treatment, doesn't it??

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

It is a relief when your prized hostas are all accounted for in the spring...even better when they are bigger than last year!

Re: Think Spring :(

We've only had a dusting here, so far. Last year at this time we had a couple inches...and it just kept piling up until March! Everyone around here is hoping for an easier winter than we had last year.

I can deal with it until the new year, but I'm with you, Chris...January & February are tough!

Re: Does anybody here overwinter taro indoors?

Let them dry slightly between waterings and give them as much light as you can. They aren't going to grow as much as they do during the summer, so they need to be drier. They may even go dormant. If so, water them even less.
