How about re-reading a JGH post. Here is 'Victory' the American Hosta Growers Association (AHGA) Hosta of the Year for 2015. This 'Victory' still has quite a bit of growing to do. http://photos.imageevent.com/tsbccowboy/theyardplants/2013/june13/websize/Victory_2.JPG Victory 6/22/13 http://photos.im...

Guests to our garden

Guests to our garden, both invited guests and party crashers. Who or what has been a guest to your garden (friends, family or "other")? I guess friends and "other" may not be mutually exclusive, I hope family and "other" are mutually exclusive, but who knows. My "other". Doing my 6am walk around the...

Re: Hosta of the Day 'Spilt Milk' - Post Your Pics

Received a nice 2 eyed 'Spilt Milk' from Hallson's in 2004. It did well until 2013 when tree roots got to it. It will take some time to recover. http://photos.imageevent.com/tsbccowboy/theyardplants/2004/plantordersin2004/hallsongardensorder/websize/1Dsc00017.jpg Spilt Milk 4/28/04 http://photos.ima...

Your Gardening Assistant

Tell us about your gardening assistant. Is your gardening assistant a person, a pet, a tool, other ( past or present)? Who or what helps you or "helps you" in the garden? Ludi,

Your 'Half and Half' is a beautiful Hosta all season long, but the late-season, dark color is way cool.

Please keep the photos coming,

'Deliverance' is a Hosta a great looking Hosta, which I do not have......yet. 'Golden Meadows' is a favorite, I like how it darkens up throughout the season. http://photos.imageevent.com/tsbccowboy/theyardplants/2013/june13/websize/Golden%20Meadows.JPG Golden Meadows 6/11/13 http://photos.imageevent...

Kathy, how exciting for the transformation that is about to take place!

Do you know what Hostas are going in your new bed?

We are still getting below zero temps this week so it will be a while before outside gardening starts, but you give us northerners hope.
