There is a board devoted to seed growing. We mostly post over there about our seedlings.

Alas, the plants I would have loved were WAAAYYY out of my price range!! Congrats to all who scored some wonderful hostas!

For a list (and pictures) of the various leaf shapes and leaf bases, print out a registration form from the registrar site. Page 2 contains this info.

DH fininshed the new bed, and I am trying to get all the potted plants in the ground as quickly as possible. The big ones I am placing carefully. When the rain stops, I will plant the minis. Most of the minis will be shuffled next spring. Thats next years project...a mini bed. Pretty much done hybri...

I have added very few new hostas this year. Over half of what I've purchased, I got at the Hallsons get together, so they are just a few weeks old.

After next weekend, my last child will be married, wedding expenses over. I can "play" a little more next year!

I just learned of the recipe forum the other day. I strictly stick to the Hosta forum. Seldom even venture to the perennial forum.

1 can crushed pineapple, DO NOT drain (about 15 oz)
1 large box instant vanilla pudding, dry
1 pint sour cream
1 shortbread crust (graham will also work)
Cool Whip

Mix together pineapple, dry pudding and sour cream.
Pour into crust.
Top with Cool Whip, refridgerate for at least 1 hr, and serve.
