The one pictured is a Chastain Lakeside Breeder that escaped Tennessee just before she started auction...

If I find a plant that is suspect I use the hot water method, 120 degrees for 10 minutes and repot them right after. So far I have never had them return to the same plant I treated or have they resurfaced in areas where I poured boiling water in the hole. Granted the plant takes quite a while to rec...

TC
I have been at the TC growing site a lot of times and if you look at the rows of little ones when they first put them in liners there are some little differences for sure. The process of culling at that level comes down to good quality control and I think the better respected TC people do a great jo...

Virus
You might be surprised how many collectors grow virused plants in their gardens. There are some harmless viruses that do not seem to pass plant to plant.
However I have noticed they keep them away from their good stuff .
Some of them are very interesting plants.

This is one of my favorites Hank!
I have one that is going on its third year and getting huge.
I may have to re-evaluate the location I have it.

Rumor has it that this is one that hates to be disturbed.
However, the local gardens split up their mature specimen and sold them and the two very nice divisions I got are growing like crazy.

I have a very mature specimen of Elvis Lives that I have been playing with the year. No luck either direction so far but I have not given up.
I has about 10 scapes full of flowers and even though they are going to be finished in a week or two, there is some promising looking ones.
