We have SOOOO many huge holes in our yard, plus that is what Van Wade credited with the growth of his huge S&S...groundhog buried under it! We saw this one, and 2 smaller groundhogs in the yard today. They must go!!

Carol, Hyacinthina sporting is what really got me interested in hostas. Thats when I discovered there were more than green, and green and white. I had mine for at least 10 yrs before it began its yearly surprises. Makes a plain old hosta a lot of fun!

I am seeing a lot of odd leaves this year. Hyacinthina, however, ALWAYS has odd leaves at my house. (As does Gold Standard, a sport of Hyacinthina.) Enjoying the NPOTD! Streakers...ah yes! We had one at my graduation in the mid 70s! I have many of them today, most not too stable! Most are also much prettier than the graduation streaker!

Looks like my small plant I got last year. Mine also has an all gold eye.

I think he fully intended to have it out by Convention. He wouldn't have had Ruh's announce it otherwise.

So sorry for you! When our neighboring house was abandoned and sat empty several years ago, a groundhog took up residence. We are still fighting his grandhogs today!

The weekend of the 26th would work for me too. I know, I have never made it yet, but keep hoping!!

Just got the Canon sx100is myself. Don't know a lot about it, as it just arrived yesterday, but I am finding it easy to use, and the pictures look good so far. (All hostas, of course.)
