We have SOOOO many huge holes in our yard, plus that is what Van Wade credited with the growth of his huge S&S...groundhog buried under it! We saw this one, and 2 smaller groundhogs in the yard today. They must go!!

Carol, Hyacinthina sporting is what really got me interested in hostas. Thats when I discovered there were more than green, and green and white. :D I had mine for at least 10 yrs before it began its yearly surprises. Makes a plain old hosta a lot of fun!

I am seeing a lot of odd leaves this year. Hyacinthina, however, ALWAYS has odd leaves at my house. (As does Gold Standard, a sport of Hyacinthina.) Enjoying the NPOTD! Streakers...ah yes! We had one at my graduation in the mid 70s! I have many of them today, most not too stable! Most are also much prettier than the graduation streaker! :P

So sorry for you! When our neighboring house was abandoned and sat empty several years ago, a groundhog took up residence. We are still fighting his grandhogs today!

Just got the Canon sx100is myself. Don't know a lot about it, as it just arrived yesterday, but I am finding it easy to use, and the pictures look good so far. (All hostas, of course.)
