Golden Goal
H. 'Golden Goal' is a new intro that just came out that was originally a Doug Belstein seedling. Test
Interesting and about what everyone probably suspected to begin with. With my seedlings during the winter I always keep the bottom 1/4 inch of the pots in water and they do very well that way. I lost hardly any seedlings this winter to damp off or anything else. I think a lot of the major growers gr...

Large Vestigial Leaves
Okay, has anyone else noticed how large the vestigial leaves are this year?
I have talked to others that claim it is due to more moisture.
Any thoughts?
Attached is a picture of Stained Glass with a larger then normal vestigial leaf.

New book
I think they are just putting the finishing touches on it now and it should be ready in September with any luck.
I think most people in the hosta world cannot wait for him to finish.
Rumor has it he was still measuring a few plants last week in North Central Wisconsin and is in the wind down stage.

Now this Little Wonder sport is very interesting with red petioles and scapes.
Might be fun to cross this one with Cherry Berry.

And..
If you are curious, the pollen on the end is Boudacious Blue.
I happened to have the pollen handy when I saw that Feather Boa was in flower and said "Why not?".
An odd combo but you never know.
