Just opened yesterday, one of my favorites

Both pics are the same flower. The first pic is MD photographed in direct full sunlight. The second front shot is under more shaded conditions.
This flower starts off with a crimson red pedicle and Tubus Angustus and blends into a fuscia up the lobes and is red again on the lobe tips. As the flower ages it darkens to a fuscia/plum colour. Metalic flecks are blended through all these colours looking very much like a bottle of sparkle nail polish.Very difficult to describe
All my dark flowers have a different inner and outer colour.

This flower is on a wavey chartruse plant with red pets.

Now, that's my idea of an eye-catching flower no what the species of parent plant!!!
LM, your hostas are beautiful, but guess you've heard that before......Do a wide angle of your garden beds just to torture us, OK???
