Forgotten all about the article... wrote it back in summer  .. then got an e-mail in the moving days ... forgot that too

The pics with a japanese style are from my frinds garden... the owergrown ones from mine

Please disagree with my points... I got a bit of wet feets when I read the other European articles claiming frost thaws was the hosta killer... but it is all I have during most winters ..and my hostas do not care.. or I think they do not care... might have been even bigger without ???

And I do not kill my seedlings.. you have seen a few of them, bu letting them stand in water/ ice filled trays for weeks or months.. but the roots are short... to bad I forgot to type that info :(

But did I get a chock when I was asked to write an article to the Journal... still claim to be a newbee

Now I just ned the journal

Pia Thy,

What a nice article you wrote for 'The Hosta Journal'.
Nice photos too! I really enjoyed reading it / very interesting -informative/ very professionally written.
Good Job!!!

I have read every article in the journal now (except one) & looked at all the pictures numerous times. Now will begin to re-read all the articles over again.

What a beautiful photo of H 'Alligator Shoes' on the cover. It is my dream to someday have a photo I have taken on the cover of an issue of 'The Hosta Journal' but don't tell anyone. The photos of the AHS tour gardens were wonderful. I was lucky enough to attend the 2008 AHS National Convention. Ron & I made it our summer vaction. The gardens were wonderful. The whole event was wonderful. We had a great time together with all our hosta friends.

Cheryl - Maybe since we share a profession / occupation we could share a 'Hosta Journal' cover shoot too.

Cheryl,

Just home from a 12 hour Friday in the ER.

Here's my shot of the very same hosta 'Alligator Shoes' that made the front cover of the 'Hosta Journal'. It was a picture perfect setting.
