More soil

Post by ogrefcf »

I had a feeling this might need a bit more soil on top and Pia confirmed that. This is one of my oldest hostas, a rather big blue angel. It always comes up like this every year. Should I just keep putting soil over it to cover it? I'm a little concernd cause it's been rather cold here and freezing and I don't want it to get hurt. And yes, I did kill the slug crawling across it.

I would toss some compost on it too, and a thin layer of mulch around it. The cold shouldn't hurt it now but you don't want it exposed after it starts growing much more.
