Re: The fun begins.
Some others from yesterday.
My wife was cleaning some deck furniture and found this little guy. I always hear them but never see them. I thought they were green tree frogs but now I know they are grey tree frogs. Journey's End starting to show its dark margin. Night before Christmas - late unfurling and showing a yellow eye. Bobbie Sue - two different looks. Gunther's Prize - I dug this one up last season and potted it when I thought I was losing it.

Some photos from Monday. I was digging some things out, re-potting some things, some weeding, adding small new garden - got 2 Bridal Falls in from Chris for it, mapping some things - I have lost track of my potted things.
June Fever: Moulin Rouge - a sport of Kiwi Full Monty: Mourning Dove - I like this look and got 4 from Chris to make a group in a trough: Shade Fanfare with some others - laevigata to the left and Phantom in back and a bunch of out-of-control seedings: weigela starting to flower - the lighter pink ones flower first:

I'm loving the pictures! Things are starting to get exciting here, some are still just pips but many now have leaves.

Re: The fun begins.
My 'June Fever' is still just pips, but it appears to be bigger this year, so my watering through the drought paid off. I can't wait to see them leaf out. Thanks for sharing yours while some of us Northern folks wait. ![:)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Some photos today. I quit working in the garden early today - the humidity got to me. I put together a raised bed, chased the darned rabbit.
Group scene: Twilight - this is the best it has ever looked usually it looks beat-up: Cool looking leaf on El Nino: Crystal Moon in front and a Gold Standard reverse sport (Var F) in back:

Re: The fun begins.
The rain came back and really dumped on us. I dug up a couple with problems and potted them. Got some new plants in for my new back garden and planted them. I'm going to dig up Majestic and take a green hunk off of it - I'll have two good size Majestic and one will go into the new back garden. My mother-in-law is in for a couple of days so we are headed for Longwood Gardens today.
Some photos from yesterday.
scene Sarah's Sensation with Kaleidochrome left/bottom, Jester left/top, a tiny Outer Space middle/top, a montana right/bottom and a clausa (expanding its realm) right/bottom corner. scene second circle - Front lawn garden - left to right (roughly) Striptease, Grand Marquee, First Frost, Lemon Frost, Louisa, Lakeside Ninita, Kinboki Tachi, Red October and azaleas coming into flower: First Frost: Gold Standard doing something odd. The plant to the left is a reverse sport off of this "mother" plant. There are 4 other similar sports next to it that are getting big.

A chair surrounded by potted Hostas...what a wonderful idea!

A few from today that didn't get posted in other topics.
Ooh La La: Ghost Spirit: Winter Vision: Light edge (at this time) Striptease sport/family group:
left Cabaret, center Hanky Panky, above Outer Space, right Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, and the little one below and right of Hanky Panky is Juha - it's not getting enough sun. Might be a sport of Hanky Panky:

Re: The fun begins.
All very lovely. 'Ooh la la' and 'Ghost Spirit' are on my (long) short list. Are they good growers? Sure looks like it from the way you've grown them. ![:)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Wonder Beautiful hostas especially the striptease family is super
Re: The fun begins.
They seem like good growers. Ghost Spirit is in a pot so it's hard to tell. Ooh La La is in a good spot - some mid-day direct sun, sprinkler hits it. I do have to it for root competition there is a holly near by.

Re: The fun begins.
Very interesting how much 'Ghost Spirit' varies from zone to zone. Mine never ever gets that dark. Mostly white leaf centres with some green misting on occasional leaves usually.

Re: The fun begins.
Some from today. I was potting pieces torn up by invading roots, moving some pots around, found some odd leaves, split some things up to get sports off.
A group with Guacamole, Foxfire Palm Sunday, Fragrant Bouquet, Luna Moth, Gypsy Rose: Titanic with some rabbit damage on the end. Right Around Morning Sunrise - this whole surface should darken though the season except for a thin white edge which is hard to see in photo, usually there are some dark streaks here: American Halo put out a yellow sport: One of my Gypsy Rose put out a sport. These are normally very unstable - I pulled it off to watch what happens:
