I still have snow on my front lawn, but I think it may disappear tomorrow. And I found my first crocuses blooming today. The squirrels have damaged some of the crocuses, but I have thousands more that will soon overwhelm the squirrels.

Crocus are blooming here too, but so far no sign of any hostas breaking ground. Just as well, as the forecast is calling for a night or two of lows in the mid-20's next week.

These are sitting in sun most of the day. I was surprised how high they are.

it will not take long time in your area.
Here we can have crocus in January and hostas in May... due to mostly very low night temps

Just went out in the rain to check on something and found deer tracks in my garden - the #114 shown above was eaten and a few others were nibbled on. I had more fence put up to stop the problem but this garden is outside my main yard.
Here is a yellow "volunteer" seedling today. It may be from Designer Genes - doesn't have the nice red/purple highlights but the flowers are the same and the flowering time is the same. It doesn't get that much sun but the spot is protected by the wall of the raised bed.
