Pic of the Day--Garden tour 17

Post by Hank Zumach »

Hi All--This part of our garden runs along the east (uphill) side and on top of the steep bank that I have shown in the last few days. This photo is facing to the north and the end of the path ties in with the top of the steps that were in yesterday's POTD. On the far left of the photo you can just see part of the shed that was in yesterday's photo.

We gradually started to plant the right hand side of the path in 2000. Most of the hostas in that area are my seedlings. Those plantings are about 10 feet wide and function as a barrier against the native forest undergrowth. Tomorrow's POTD will show part of the scene a person sees as they sit on the bench that you can see in the middle of the photo.
