'Blue Lightning'

Has anyone had success crossing 'Blue Lightning'? I got almost no germination from its seeds.

Haven't tried yet. I had it a while a go, lost it, got another this year. I've also got Wet Umbrellas. I know Wet Umbrellas sets seed but I've not tried growin' any.

Growing OP seeds from it as I write! If I remember well, I only harvested 2 pods from it (deer ate top of scapes) looks like most germinated, and I'd say more than 50% are streaked at the moment, balance are looking green. Better luck next year, George.

George, I didn't cross it, but I did have op pods this time around. I saved the seeds, maybe I should plant them!

I made nine crosses resulting in 9 to 36 seeds each. Only two have germinated any: 2/20 and 3/20. That's awful! There were no OP seed pods.

This was a first year plant which sometimes don't set much viable seed. I hope it does better next year.
