First waking up Hosta's in the garden of Hostadream

Hi, i take today 2 pictures from the first Hosta's coming up in the garden. Today again temps to 12° !!

Hosta clausa var. normalis is the first to coming in leaves.


And here outcoming noses from Hosta Sea Thunder.

Exciting, isn't it?

We're a long way from that here I'm afraid. Tomorrow will be our last very cold (low in single digits F) day of the winter, I hope. Friday and on should climb into the 30s and on into the 40s. Late April we'll see what you're looking at.

Seing the first ones is so special- when I do, first thing I think about is the weather report ... seems to be okay for the next week

Hi George & Pia, indeed, it is early this year and i hope on not to strong nightfrost the coming weeks...
Now the temps are very good the coming days, today very sunny and to 14°, sunday to 15° !!

Wow! Look at all those hosta eyes popping out of the ground!! So exciting! We also have at least another month or more before ours start appearing. I really hope it's later than earlier. Then there is less of a chance of a frost affecting the early leaves.
