Pic of the Day--Garden Tour 28

Post by Hank Zumach »

Hi All--today and tomorrow I'll be showing the bed that we call the "big oval". It is in our south alwn area and is about 18'x25' (6mx8m). These two shots are of the north side of the bed.

Wow, Hank! I really like that moneywort. Do you ever have trouble with it competing with your hostas? Is it very invasive? It really looks terrific under all the hostas...I like the way it kinda ties everything together. Great job! :P

Charla--Well, it does spread around so I suppose some gardeners would call it invasive. However, we don't consider it any more of a problem than most ground covers. We really like it. It varies from light green to yellow depending on how much light it gets. I would suggest you try it since you can always get rid of it if you decide you don't like it.

Thanks, Hank, I am going to take that advice! I already know where I am going to put it! I am planning to try Sedum 'Acre', too, but am being a little more choosey about a spot for it. Thanks a bunch! :D
