Here's another batch of leaves from the summer of 2005. :P

Sum of All looked pretty good that year. It definitely needs to be freed from the clutches of the crab apple roots this year.

Jimmy Crack Corn looked fantastic in 2005. Next spring it was no more. [I think the neighborhood cats made use of that spot - another hosta went missing there too.] I did replace JCC last year.

Last summer I moved ventricosa Aureomarginata to a place where it can shine instead of compete with Silk Kimono [and lose].

This one is a little too close - but Moonlight always has one or 2 leaves that have a bit of blue between the center & margin colors.

Back to 2005 & Whirlwind's summer coloring. It found a new home last summer too. Now it can be the star in its own family grouping. Second Wind is already nearby & I hope to add Dust Devil this year.

Diana Remembered looked wonderful in 2005, but it's another victim of crab apple roots & didn't look even 1/2 as good last year.

Krossa Regal had lost most of its blue by the end of July, but I like the deeply impressed veins.

Abiqua Moonbeam got a new home last spring in a family trio with August Moon & September Sun. I must have planted it a little deeper than it had been because it was noticeably shorter than in 2005.

Very nice, Ren. Your closeups are really good. Some of mine are fuzzy. I guess I have trouble holding that camera real still and focusing. :???: I'm going to try and get a nice pic of each hosta this year, as well as a close up of the leaves. But, like you said, some years they look better than others. I've got some tree root problems too.

Thanks, Joan & Rachel. :P I use my monitor to center & take the pics like this [and a lot of others] rather than looking thru the viewfinder. Some of these are a bit on the fuzzy side to me. But the worst ones were all deleted long ago. LOL I would go out & take some pics - then come in & download them & see which were decent & which were crap & go back out & take more pics of the ones that didn't look good. And some of them took 3 or 4 tries before I got a good shot. :???:
