No, but pearlescent is:

According to the Free Dictionary by Farlex....

pearl·es·cent : Having a pearly luster or gloss.

Awesome, Leafy! :o
Will we get to see it when it's open?

And another question...how large are these flowers? I'm curious about the sizes of this one as well as the black bloom you posted. That is awesome too, by the way.

thanks guys, if you don't mind looking I'll keep posting.
Thanks for the spell check Pieter
Thanks Linda and renaldo :P

Matt, thanks for your interest :P I will post a pic of this one when it opens, as for size, this is a new hybrid and I'll have to wait for it to open to see size. It doesn't appear to be a big one so far. It has great piecrusting as parents
'K Snow x 'Spritzer x 'Amethyst Star'
x Warlock'.
As for the others, I selectively breed for colour, fragrance, and size. Most of these flowers are larger than most hostas. The first B&B post, the one with the lighter mid riff has a lenghth of 3 1/2" from pedical to front and a width of 2 1/4'. The black ones are apx 2 1/2" long.

Wow again. That's a good size. You're putting the "Lily" back in "Plantain Lily."

Thanks,
Matt
